Top Intake Vent - Reef S2

Top intake vent to suit Reef S2, S2/F and S2/P.
 
This new intake vent version (introduced in late 2024) is a 2 piece system with a backing plate and front vent cover that connects together making the front removable for easy cleaning or replacing. 
 
Note that from the introduction of the S2 range in 2019 through to early 2024 the top intake vents on the S2 is a fixed item that cannot be removed without breaking it off. It is installed from the top, sliding into a water jet cutout in the glass and is then fixed in place with the aluminum strip that is siliconed above. 
 
To upgrade and early model to the new version the top vent needs to be broken off. This can be done by cutting the plastic vents off and then carefully cutting the outer frame enabling it to be pried out from it's channel. 
 
Installation of the new version is simple. Just insert the backing plate from inside the weir and connect the front cover. It is recommended to use some silicone or coral glue to fix the backing plate on firmly.
